Klarstein Reserva 12 Duo Dual Zone Wine Cooler Discontinued – Best Alternatives
The Klarstein Reserva 12 Duo has left Amazon US, and no current pick copies its mix of two zones and thermoelectric cooling, so here is how to choose which of the two to keep.
A search on Amazon US returns no Klarstein Reserva listing, and Klarstein has not said why. None of our current picks is a small dual zone thermoelectric cooler. If two zones matter most, the Yeego 12 Inch 17 Bottle Dual Zone keeps them in a slim cabinet but runs on a compressor. If thermoelectric cooling matters most, the Koolatron WC12 keeps it with a single zone.

Yeego 12 Inch 17 Bottle Dual Zone – Best Overall Replacement
The Yeego is the pick because it keeps what made the Reserva special: separate zones for reds and whites. It holds 17 Bordeaux bottles across a 40-65 F span, colder at the bottom than either Klarstein zone, and it remembers its settings after a power cut. The differences are real, though. It uses a compressor rather than thermoelectric cooling, it stands 34 in tall against the Reserva’s much shorter cabinet, and its hinge is fixed on the right. Owners give it 4.5 of 5 from 301 ratings. See our Yeego 17 Bottle review.

Koolatron WC12 12 Bottle – Best Value Alternative
For readers who liked the Reserva because it was a thermoelectric box for twelve bottles, the WC12 matches the capacity and the cooling type. What it does not have is a second zone, so reds and whites share one 46-66 F setting. In return it adds a key lock, which the Klarstein lacked, and five sliding beech wood shelves in a 10.25 W x 19.5 D x 25.25 H in cabinet. It rates 4.2 of 5 from 301 ratings; the listing does not publish a warranty. More in our WC12 review.

Ca’Lefort 15 Inch 28 Bottle Dual Zone – Step Up in Capacity
This more than doubles the Reserva’s capacity at 28 bottles, again with two compressor-cooled zones set anywhere from 40-65 F in 1 F steps. At 14.8 W x 22.4 D x 34 H in it is a much taller cabinet, but the front vent means it can go under a counter as well as stand alone, and the door is reversible. The warranty is the longest here: one year on the unit, two on parts and three on the compressor. It has 4.4 of 5 from 313 ratings. We have not reviewed it yet; the Ca’Lefort brand guide covers the range.
Why the Klarstein Reserva 12 Duo Was Discontinued
Klarstein has given no reason, and I will not guess at one. What can be said is that this Klarstein wine cooler no longer appears on Amazon US; a search returns no Reserva listing. The specs below are as recorded in our original review.
What It Did Well
- Two zones in a twelve-bottle cabinet, six bottles in each: the upper zone recorded at 46-64 F and the lower at 54-64 F.
- Separate up and down buttons for each zone, a central display showing both temperatures, and an LED light in each zone with its own on and off switch.
- Four oak shelves, a stainless steel cabinet, and a freestanding footprint recorded as 19.1 x 15 x 21.3 in at 33.1 lb.
Where It Fell Short
- No lock of any kind.
- The two zones overlapped heavily, and neither went below 46 F, which limits how cold whites and sparkling wine could be kept.
- Few owner ratings were ever recorded for it in the US.
Market Context
No small dual zone thermoelectric cooler is offered in our current picks. The dual zone models we can recommend today use compressor cooling, which reaches lower temperatures and copes better with a warm room. That leaves Reserva owners with a real choice rather than a direct swap: keep two zones and move to a compressor, or keep thermoelectric and accept one zone.

Buying Used – A Reality Check
Before You Buy a Used Klarstein Reserva 12 Duo
- A dual zone unit has more to go wrong than a single zone one. Wine Cellar Diva has no parts source, and with no US listing, spares may be hard to track down.
- You will get no warranty, and you cannot tell how long the cooling system has already run.
- Unless the seller shows both zones holding their set points in a normal room, spend the money on a current model instead.
For Current Owners
Keeping Yours Running
Stand the Reserva where air can reach the back and sides, keep it out of direct sun, and clean the vents regularly so it can shed heat. Switch off the zone lights when you are not browsing. Keep an eye on each zone separately: if one starts running several degrees above its setting while the other holds steady, that zone’s cooling is failing, and it is time to look at a replacement.

Questions Readers Ask
Can I still buy the Klarstein Reserva 12 Duo?
Not on Amazon US. A search there returns no Klarstein Reserva listing.
What replaced the Klarstein Reserva 12 Duo?
Klarstein has not named a US successor that we know of. My suggestion is the Yeego 12 Inch 17 Bottle Dual Zone if you want to keep two zones, or the Koolatron WC12 if you want to stay thermoelectric.
Are parts still available?
Wine Cellar Diva has no parts source for the Reserva. Contact Klarstein directly with your model details and ask what they can supply.
Should I buy a used one?
Generally no. There is no warranty, a dual zone unit has more to wear out, and few owner ratings were ever recorded for it in the US.
Is there a small dual zone thermoelectric wine cooler like the Klarstein?
Not among our current picks. The small dual zone coolers we recommend now use compressors, and the thermoelectric ones we recommend have a single zone.
Did the Klarstein Reserva 12 Duo have a lock?
No. Our original review recorded no locking mechanism. The Koolatron WC12 has a key lock if that matters to you.
What to Buy Instead
The closest current equivalent to the Klarstein Reserva 12 Duo is the Yeego 12 Inch 17 Bottle Dual Zone, because it keeps two independent zones in a narrow cabinet. It is taller and uses a compressor, so check your height clearance first.
